REMBAU: Four households in Titian Bintangor near here have been placed under a targeted enhanced movement control order (MCO) after 10 occupants were found to have had close contact with a Covid-19 positive individual.
Rembau Disaster Management Committee chairman Mohamad Najib Mustafa said the 10 would be placed under quarantine for 14 days.
"All 10 of them have undergone screening for Covid-19 and have to remain at home for 14 days.
"They will also have to wear the pink wristbands at all times during the period," he said.
Najib said the public did not need to be unduly worried over this.
He said the authorities had to place the four households under targeted enhanced MCO as a precautionary measure.
"Our hope is that the public will continue to strictly adhere to all standard operating procedures to help the authorities stem the spread of the virus," he said.
He also said placing the households under the targeted enhanced MCO was necessary following the increase in number of cases nationwide.
"Those of you who have no pressing matters to attend to, please just stay home," he added.
Only one new case was reported in Negri Sembilan on Saturday (Oct 17) with 38 individuals still undergoing treatment.
To date, 1,097 cases have been reported in the state, with eight deaths.
