Perhilitan rescues elephant ensnared in Jeli

PETALING JAYA: An elephant trapped in a snare in Jeli, Kelantan, was rescued by the Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan), thanks to a Good Samaritan who alerted the department to the elephant's plight.

Perhilitan said on Oct 9 that its hotline received a call regarding an elephant that was thought to have been trapped in a snare and injured near Kampung Renyuk, Jeli, Kelantan.
