Royale with cheese: King treats media members to burgers

KUALA LUMPUR: Media members camped outside Istana Negara were treated to some fast food by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdulllah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.

The packs of McDonald’s treats were presented to the media by the King's senior private secretary Kolonel (Rtd) Datuk Nazim Mohd Alim outside the palace gates on Tuesday (Oct 13) morning.

On Instagram, the Istana Negara mentioned that the King is quite concerned about the role of the media in presenting verified news to the rakyat.

The media members are camped outside the Palace because the King has an audience with Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who claims he has the support of the majority to form the next government.
