Police probe misuse of King's name, photo to spread fake news


KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Police have opened an investigation paper pertaining to the use of the name and picture of Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Istana Negara by several individuals to issue false statements to the media.

Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department deputy director (Investigation/Legal) DCP Mior Faridalathrash Wahid (pic) said Tuesday (Oct 6) that this followed a report received from a palace officer last week.
