KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman is looking for two men to assist in the investigation into an attempted murder case in Bandar Kinrara.
Bukit Aman CID director Comm Datuk Huzir Mohamed said 10 people, including a foreign woman, had been arrested in connection with the case where a man was shot by assailants at a house in Bandar Kinrara on Sept 21.
"We are seeking these two men, aged 40 and 48, to assist with investigations.
"We hope the public can assist us," he told a press conference in Bukit Aman on Wednesday (Sept 30).
On Sept 21, a man was shot by unknown assailants at a house at Bandar Kinrara. News of the incident circulated on social media and WhatsApp, with people being advised to be cautious.
According to a post by Facebook user Taqiyudin Yusof, the incident occurred on Monday afternoon.
He claimed that the victim had just parked his car in front of the house and was about to enter when he was shot by someone who followed him on a motorcycle.
Following the incident, Serdang OCPD Asst Comm Ismadi Borhan said on Sept 28 that police were alerted about the shooting around 12.45pm.
"We received information that a man was shot at a house along Jalan BK 5/3, Bandar Kinrara, here.
"Investigations revealed the 35-year-old victim suffered injuries to his left ribs, believed to be from a gunshot," he said in a statement.
He said the victim was in a stable condition and was receiving medical treatment at a hospital.
"The Selangor police headquarters forensic unit was dispatched to the scene. Investigations are ongoing and we have identified the suspects involved.
"Operations are underway to track down and arrest the suspects," he said adding that the case had been classified as attempted murder.
