Cops tracking down suspects involved in attempted murder in Bandar Kinrara

SERDANG: A man was shot by unknown assailants at a house in Bandar Kinrara here.

News about the incident was circulated on social media and WhatsApp, advising people to be cautious.

According to a post by Facebook user Taqiyudin Yusof, the incident occurred on Monday (Sept 21) afternoon.

He claimed in his post that the victim had just parked his car in front of the house and was about to enter when he was shot by someone who followed him on a motorcycle.

Serdang OCPD Asst Comm Ismadi Borhan said police were alerted about the incident around 12.45pm.

"We received information that a man was shot outside a house along Jalan BK 5/3, Bandar Kinrara here.

"Investigations revealed the 35-year-old victim suffered injuries to his left ribs believed to be from a gunshot," he said in a statement.

He said the victim is in stable condition and was receiving medical treatment at a hospital.

"The Selangor police headquarters forensic unit was dispatched to the scene to assist investigations.

"Investigations are ongoing and we have identified the suspects involved.

"Operations are underway to track down and arrest the suspects," he said adding that the case has been classified as attempted murder.
