PM launches ‘Embracing New Norms’ Covid-19 campaign in Pagoh

PAGOH: Malaysia is willing to assist in developing a Covid-19 vaccine in the international stage through a cross-border task force of ministries, says Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (pic).

The Prime Minister said that the task force was established in April this year.

"The government is always monitoring the latest Covid-19 pandemic situation and I understand several countries are working towards developing vaccines.

"However, there is a high possibility that it will take a little more time, around early 2021," he said in his speech before launching the "Embracing New Norms" campaign at Kompleks Sukan Pagoh here on Saturday (Aug 8).

Muhyiddin, who is also Pagoh MP, added that with this in mind, Malaysia was willing to assist international efforts to develop a vaccine for Covid-19.

The "Embracing New Norms" campaign was launched to increase awareness and empowering Malaysians to protect themselves, their families and communities in the war against Covid-19.

It would be supported by all ministries, departments and agencies throughout the country as well as strategic partners such as corporate sector, non-governmental organisations.
