GEORGE TOWN: The death of former national footballer V. Krishnasamy is a great loss to the country, says former teammate Khalil Hashim.

Describing him as the fittest footballer in the team, Khalil, 73, said Krishnasamy was the most determined, and no-nonsense defensive midfielder that he had ever known in his playing career.
