Police arrests three Nepalese following death of countryman

KULAI: Police have arrested three Nepalese following the murder of their countryman in Indahpura here.

Kulai OCPD Supt Tok Beng Yeow said police received a call about a man found unconscious at the premises of a business at around 4.20am in the wee hours of Tuesday (July 28) morning.

“Checks on the body found bruise marks on the victim’s right eye and face, as well as blood coming out from his mouth, ” he said on Wednesday (July 29).

He added that police did not find any objects or items that might have been used as a weapon in the case.

Supt Tok said police did not rule out the possibility that the victim might have been involved in a scuffle.

He also said a medical team, which arrived at the scene, confirmed that the victim had died and his body was then sent to the Sultanah Aminah Hospital for a post-mortem.

“The post-mortem result showed that the victim died due to being hit by a blunt object in the abdomen area.

“Based on information, on the same day, between 11.30am and 12.30pm, police arrested the suspects, aged between 23 and 37, along Jalan Seroja 4 in Indahpura industrial area and Jalan Teratai 36/43, ” he added.

Supt Tok said the suspects had been put under remand to assist with the investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

He urged those with information to contact the state police hotline at 07-2212999 or lodge a report at the nearest police station.
