PETALING JAYA: Driving schools are allowed to conduct courses and training sessions beginning Tuesday (July 14), says Senior Minister (Defense) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

He said the centres are now allowed to open from 7.30am to 8.30pm, while courses and training can go on from 8.30am to 8pm.

“We have received applications from driving schools to increase their operation hours.

“We agreed to this request during the National Security Council meeting, ” he said during the regular media briefing at Parliament in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.

He noted that the new rules take effect Tuesday, and that all driving schools must adhere to the existing standard operating procedures during the recovery movement control order period.
