ACTRESS, host and entrepreneur Neelofa (pic) wants to help people fulfil their duties during the upcoming Hari Raya Haji celebrations, reported Sinar Harian.

She will do so through the “Program Qurban Kasih Neelofa Aidiladha”, which is organised by her foundation Pertubuhan Kasih Neelofa.

According to the 31-year-old, the programme has received a lot of support and enquiries since it was announced recently.

“Many people have asked about it. Maybe because of the Covid-19 pandemic which requires us to observe social distancing, many have taken the opportunity to fulfil their qurban (sacrificial rites) duties through the Qurban Kasih Neelofa Aidiladha programme,” she said.

The programme helps with the various steps involved, including picking the right cow to be sacrificed, its slaughtering and the distribution of its meat to the poor and needy, which will be managed by her foundation.

Neelofa said the foundation will also work with other NGOs and private companies on the programme.

“The cooperation is to make it easier for us to identify and distribute the meat to those who are really in need in every state,” she added.

Registrations for the Qurban Kasih Neelofa Aidiladha pogramme is still open till July 23.

> Hip-hop singer Joe Flizzow hopes to have a virtual concert with tickets going for as low as RM1, reported Harian Metro.

Joe, whose real name is Johan Ishak, 41, said the idea of an online performance is rather practical these days.

“I thought of having a virtual concert because it is effective, especially during the movement control order (MCO) and recovery MCO period.

“I want fans to just pay RM1. Why RM1? Because I am sure that fans will not mind paying that, especially when it can be easily accessed through various platforms such as Zoom.

“It will also allow more people to stream if the tickets are priced that way,” said Joe.

He has promised fans that he will give a good performance as a way to thank them.
