KOTA KINABALU: An animated documentary All I Did Was Smile And Say Hello by Malaysian film director Soon King Yaw has been selected as the opening film of the KQED Homemade Film Festival.

The film about rising discrimination against Asians in the United States during the Covid-19 pandemic was picked out from over 500 films that were submitted.
