PETALING JAYA: Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari should not ask Dr Daroyah Alwi (pic) to vacate the Sementa state seat to trigger a by-election to shake off suspicions about him, says former Kapar PKR Youth leader Ameer Asshafiq.
Ameer quit PKR along with Dr Daroyah who is Selangor Deputy State Assembly Speaker and former PKR deputy women's wing chief on Saturday (June 13).
Ameer is now a member of Pemuda Negara, a NGO of ex-PKR youth members.
He further questioned whether the seat will be reserved for PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim or vice-president Rafizi Ramli so that they do not continue to think he was also part of the Sheraton Move which formed Perikatan Nasional.
Ameer added he was sure that the PKR leadership and grassroots still see Amirudin as part of "Azmin's cartel" who are merely acting loyal to the party leadership to keep the MB's chair.
"Do not forget that a few viral pictures showed that Amirudin was also accused of perpetrating the Sheraton Move. In fact, a few officers and friends of Amirudin were also with us during the Sheraton Move on the night of Feb 24," said Ameer.
He added in a statement that Kapar Pemuda Negara advises Amirudin to be careful with his suggestion to vacate the seat as it may backfire.
On June 13, Amirudin said that Dr Daroyah should vacate the seat as she had left the party.
Ameer had also lodged a police report over banners that were hung near Dr Daroyah's Taman Bestari office.
A police report on the banners with words like "Berambus Daroyah" and "Daroyah Lepaskan Jawatan Adun N43" were filed at 3.12am on Sunday (June 14).
In the police report, he said that five people were seen putting up the banners in front of the state representative's office in Taman Bestari and at another branch office.
