Patrick Teoh released on police bail


JOHOR BARU: Former radio announcer and actor Patrick Teoh has been released on police bail.

According to his lawyer, Datuk Seri Rajan Navaratnam, Teoh was granted bail and released at 10.45am Thursday (May 14).

"Teoh has already returned to Petaling Jaya and the police say they will keep us updated on any developments," he said when contacted by phone.

Johor police chief Comm Datuk Ayob Khan Myidin Pitchay confirmed that Teoh had been released on bail.

Teoh was arrested on May 9 in Petaling Jaya for allegedly insulting Johor Crown Prince Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim on social media.

Previously, Teoh was remanded for four days until May 12, with an extension of two more days, which ended Thursday.
