ARE-RUN of the 2013 Hong Kong drama The Hippocratic Crush II, which starred Jacqueline Wong and her then boyfriend Kenneth Ma, has ignited an online debate as it has coincidentally been a year since the actress was caught cheating on him.

Pictures of Wong and the married singer Andy Hui kissing at the back of a taxi were splashed across Hong Kong press exactly a year ago last Friday, when the re-run was screened, Sin Chew Daily reported.

Wong, who acted in the drama alongside Ma, subsequently ended their relationship after the scandal came to light.

Many speculated on social media that the timing of the drama’s rerun was deliberate.

It was believed that Wong and Ma got to know each other better on the set of The Hippocratic Crush II before they started dating in 2017.

“So much has happened in the last year. Such big changes. I hope everything returns to normal soon and that everyone remains safe, ” Wong, 31, said.

She took a six-month hiatus in the United States following the scandal and only returned to Hong Kong in December last year, telling the press that she was trying to “live with” and “learn from” her mistake.

Hui’s wife, singer Sammi Cheng, has forgiven him and urged fans to respect her decision.

> Singer Gillian Chung’s cosmetologist husband Michael Lai has been called out online for wearing a counterfeit Louis Vuitton mask and to the surprise of many, he admitted it, Sin Chew Daily reported.

Lai posted a photo on Instagram on Friday of himself wearing a mask which featured the iconic Louis Vuitton prints.

When a commentator responded by saying that it was a “Fake LV mask”, Lai replied: “Yes, it’s hand made.”
