PETALING JAYA: A 35-year-old Covid-19 patient in Malaysia has died, taking the death toll to 24.
Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah on Friday (March 27) said the individual was a Malaysian man who travelled to Indonesia in early March this year.
"The individual started showing symptoms five days before being admitted to Hospital Kuala Lumpur on March 18.
"The Covid-19 results were found positive on March 20.
"The individual's health deteriorated day by day before the individual died on March 26 at 9.30pm," he said.
The Health Ministry offered condolences to the family of the patient, who was case 1,056 in the country.
As of 5pm on Thursday (March 26), there are 2,031 positive Covid-19 cases with a total of 215 patients recovered.
