Dr M and wife undergo routine screening for Covid-19


PETALING JAYA: As the Movement Control Order enters its eighth day, former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his wife Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali have undergone a routine check up for the Covid-19 virus.

Pictures of the nonagenarian couple undergoing the Covid-19 screening were posted on Dr Mahathir’s Instagram Stories on Wednesday (March 25).

The set of pictures also shown medical officers clad in full protective gear taking samples from Dr Mahathir and Dr Siti Hasmah respectively accompanied by the “#Day8 #StaySafe #RoutineCheckUp” hashtags.

Previously, Dr Mahathir placed himself on a 14-day quarantine after coming into close contact with Bandar Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii Le Wuen, who tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.

However, the 95-year-old statesman was given the all-clear after he recently tested negative.
