MIRI: Sarawak adds another level of regulation during this movement control order period by telling folks that they must be indoors from 7pm to 7am beginning Tuesday (March 24).
The regulation will last until March 31, and is an additional and stricter measure being enforced by the state government to stem the spread of Covid-19, which has claimed five lives here.
Among those exempted from this new regulation are frontline delivery staff and medical personnel as well as journalists.
A check by The Star in Miri showed a high level of compliance from the public.
The city centre is silent and devoid of people while the eight major commercial centres are also all closed.
The population of 350,000 Mirians is staying home, except for a pocket of homeless people.
