PETALING JAYA: A 58-year-old man from Tawau, Sabah has become the third Malaysian to die of Covid-19.
Health Ministry director-general Datuk Seri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) received a report on the at 6.27pm on Friday (March 20).
He said the death involved case 152, who is linked to the tabligh gathering at Masjid Jamek, Sri Petaling.
"He was admitted to the Tawau Hospital on March 9 as he had severe acute respiratory infection symptoms," Hisham Abdullah said on his Facebook page on Friday (March 20).
He said the man was given respiratory assistance and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on the same day.
"His health began to deteriorate day by day and was pronounced dead on March 20 at 6.27pm.
"My condolences to the family," he added.
