KUALA LUMPUR: The government can turn to the National Influenza Pandemic Preparedness Plan (NIPPP) it developed in 2006 should the Covid-19 outbreak turn pandemic, says Universiti Malaya academician Emeritus Prof Datuk Dr Lam Sai Kit.
A pandemic, according to WHO, is when there is a sudden increase in the number of cases all over the world, usually affecting a large number of people.
