Contradicting statements


PETALING JAYA: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad (pic) did not have any objections towards his party’s move to back Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as the next prime minister, says Alor Gajah MP Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof.“Dr Mahathir did not object. He repeatedly said in his statement that there are no objections, ” the Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia supreme council member told reporters when met outside Muhyiddin’s residence in Bukit Damansara last night.

Redzuan also dismissed news reports that the Bersatu chairman had abruptly left a meeting with party leaders at Yayasan Al-Bukhary yesterday morning in protest over their decision to cooperate with PAS and Umno.
