PETALING JAYA: The nomination of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as the eighth prime minister has received the endorsement of three of the biggest blocs of MPs in Parliament.

As of press time, 96 MPs from the blocs, which consist of Bersatu, Barisan Nasional and PAS, have agreed to propose Muhyiddin to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to replace Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad as the prime minister.
