Keep calm and eat McD's: King treats media outside Palace to McDonald's

KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah has come out to soothe the worries of Malaysians since the collapse of the Pakatan Harapan government.

His Majesty expressed his concern over the current political upheaval and said that he hoped to find the best solution.

His Majesty is slated to personally interview 90 MPs, one by one, starting 2.30pm to determine who has the majority in Parliament.

"We are very concerned. Be patient.

"Let me do my duty. I hope to find the best solution," His Majesty told reporters outside Istana Negara Gate 2 on Tuesday afternoon (Feb 24).

His Majesty not only graced pressmen camping outside the Palace with his presence, but also surprised the media by bringing them McDonald's for lunch.

"Sedap (delicious). I'm hungry," said His Majesty as he took a French fry and ate it.

On Monday (Feb 24), His Majesty generously treated the media fraternity camping outside Istana Negara to boxes of KFC for dinner.

The media has been waiting outside Istana Negara for developments since news of the Pakatan government downfall broke on Sunday (Feb 23).
