Eighth patient recovers and gets discharged


PUTRAJAYA: Another Covid-19 (novel coronavirus) patient has recovered and was discharged from hospital, says Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

The individual, who was the 15th case detected, was allowed to leave on Feb 15.

The female Chinese national had been treated at Hospital Permai, Johor Baru, said Dr Wan Azizah, who is also the Disaster Management Centre Committee chairman.

Including this case, eight patients have so far been discharged.

They had tested negative twice for Covid-19, said Dr Wan Azizah.

“Meanwhile, there were no new cases reported yesterday and the number of patients still receiving treatment is 14, ” she added.
