PETALING JAYA: With the dry and hot spell hitting its peak and air-conditioners working full throttle, environmental experts have advised on proper ways to clean the electrical appliance.

They said the current common methods of cleaning air-conditioners, using acid and alkalis, could have adverse effects on the environment, such as polluting water resources.
