Dr M arrives in Kedah for closed-door meeting with state Pakatan leadership


ALOR SETAR: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has arrived at the Sultan Abdul Halim Airport here for a closed-door meeting with state Pakatan Harapan leadership on Saturday (Jan 18).

The Prime Minister arrived around 12.30pm with hundreds of Pakatan supporters waiting at Bunga Raya Complex to welcome the ruling party chairman.

Accompanied by his wife Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali, the couple were welcomed by Kedah Pakatan chairman Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir, state Parti Amanah Negara chairman Datuk Phahrolrazi Mohd Zawawi, state DAP chairman Tan Kok Yew and grassroots leaders from the coalition party.

Dr Mahathir then proceeded with his entourage for lunch with Pakatan leaders at his residence in Titi Gajah.

He is also scheduled to chair a closed-door meeting with Kedah Pakatan leadership at Tabung Haji Hotel around 3pm.

Later on Saturday night, he is also slated to attend Program Mesra Rakyat at Kuala Kedah.

On Sunday (Jan 19) the Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia chairman will attend the official launching of 5G Malaysia.
