Forfeiture application against Jakel Trading to be heard Feb 7


KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): The High Court here has fixed Feb 7 to hear an application by the prosecution to forfeit RM628,314 that was seized from Jakel Trading by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for allegedly being linked to the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) scandal.

Judicial Commissioner Datuk Ahmad Shahrir Mohd Salleh set the date during the case management on Tueday (Jan 7) after Deputy Public Prosecutor Mahadi Abdul Jumaat informed the court that both parties had filed their affidavits on the application.
