LENGGONG: A local tourism group promoting cottage industries in Lenggong Valley in Hulu Perak said they have seen very little impact on local businesses ever since Lenggong Valley received its Unesco (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation) World Heritage Site status six years ago.

"There was a lot of expectation from the business community here, the tourist guides, resorts, homestay businesses and even the food and beverage outlets that Lenggong Valley was going to boom for the better and uplift everyone's lives when it got its Unesco status," said A76 Lenggong Tourism Association chairman Asnan Mohd Yusof.
