PUTRAJAYA: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad kept mum when quizzed by a reporter if he had met with former police commando Azilah Hadri.
After a press conference on the Bandar Malaysia agreement signing ceremony ended yesterday, a member of the press asked: “Tun, did you meet Azilah?”
The Prime Minister merely smiled while shaking his head, before standing up to leave the venue.
The question was posed following a claim by lawyer Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah that Azilah had met several individuals, including a “VVIP”, outside Kajang Prison in February.
Azilah dropped a bombshell recently when a statutory declaration by him claimed that he had killed Mongolian Altantuya Shaariibuu on the orders of Datuk Seri Najib Razak, who was then deputy prime minister.
