Anwar spends 90 mins at Bukit Aman to record statement

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim (pic) was called to Bukit Aman to record his statement, as part of an investigation into a report filed by his former aide.

Bukit Aman CID D5 (Prosecution and Legal division) principal assistant director Senior Asst Comm Mior Faridalatrash Wahid confirmed that the PKR president arrived at around 3.45pm on Thursday (Dec 12).

"He spent about an hour and a half at Bukit Aman recording his statement," he said when contacted.

This comes less than a week after Anwar's former aide Muhammed Yusoff Rawther lodged a police report on Dec 7.

In his report, Yusoff wants police to investigate alleged acts of sexual assault said to have been committed by Anwar.

He also submitted the statutory declaration which details the alleged crime said to have taken place last year.

Yusoff had also recorded his statement in Bukit Aman on Monday (Dec 9).
