Two senior citizens killed in fire at Ipoh apartment


IPOH: Two senior citizens, believed to be a couple, were killed during a pre-dawn fire in a modified apartment at Taman Meru Impiana here.

A Perak Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said both victims were identified as one Kamal Mustafa, from Egypt and Kamariah Talib, both believed to be in their 70s.

The spokesman said they received a call at about 3.40am.

He said the fire involved two apartment units that had been renovated into one.
