Naked man clothed and given pocket money by cops

KUALA LUMPUR: Police helped a man down on his luck after finding him wandering around in the nude.

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Fahmi Visuvanathan Abdullah said a patrol unit found the man, believed to be in his 30s, in front of Dayabumi Complex around 3.30pm on Sunday (Nov 10) and persuaded him to get into the patrol car.

"The man calmly complied and we later learned that he did not have any mental problems but was just overwhelmed by his own personal issues," he said.

It is learned that the man had tried to drown his troubles away and had drunk too much to realise that he had taken off his clothes.

Police later bought the man some clothes and also gave him pocket money for his fare home to Brickfields.

A video of the man was also posted on social media but has since been taken down.
