THE Home Ministry is looking into amending the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act (Sosma), including the maximum 28-day detention period under the law, says minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
He said the ministry had formed a committee to review the law, as instructed by the Cabinet, as parts of the legislation were seen to be “draconian” and against human rights.
