PUTRAJAYA: Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik (pic) of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia has called on DAP to instil some discipline in its members.
“I would like to advise any DAP members who are not satisfied with the Federal Government’s decision to respect the rule of law and the concept of collective responsibility.
“I also urge the DAP leadership to discipline its members so that they will learn to respect the government’s decision as well as obey the country’s Constitution and law.
“These are the two things that form the construct of our nation,” said Maszlee in a scathing post on his Facebook page yesterday.
Apart from singling out DAP’s Ronnie Liu over the latter’s criticism of Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Bersatu, Maszlee also referred to the controversial Belt and Road Initiative for Win Winism comic book created by Hew Kuan Yau and local artist Chong Po Ling.
Calling the publication a “political propaganda”, the minister stressed that there had never been any approval for the book to be distributed in any school in the country.
“All schools that have received the comic book have been ordered not to distribute it.
“I have also instructed the ministry to immediately probe if any individual, including people on the inside, who have been responsible for allowing this comic book to spread in schools.
“If this allegation is proven true, we will ensure that whoever is behind it will face severe action,” said Maszlee.
