KAJANG: The 32-year-old man who allegedly beat up a doctor for having an affair with his wife – as seen in a viral video – has been detained along with the person who recorded the incident.

The husband and the 37-year-old man who recorded the attack were detained on Sunday (Oct 6).

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof said the suspects were arrested at the Kajang police station.

"The 32-year-old suspect has been remanded until Tuesday (Oct 8) but the remand application for the other suspect was rejected," he said.

ACP Ahmad Dzaffir had said that the doctor had earlier lodged a police report on Friday (Oct 4) after being attacked.

"The doctor was hit on his face and body at his clinic in Bandar Baru Bangi. We are still investigating the incident," he said.

Those with information on the incident are urged to contact investigating officer Insp Fahrul Anuar at 014-370 0870 or the nearest police station.

The two-minute-and-20-second video went viral on social media recently.

In the footage, a man is seen repeatedly attacking the doctor in his office while shouting profanities at him.

The other man recording the video is heard saying that the doctor had been meeting up with a married woman and that the man beating him up is her husband.
