Anwar: Prior engagement prevented me from attending Malay Dignity Congress

KUALA LUMPUR: PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says he could not attend the Kongres Maruah Melayu (Malay Dignity Congress) as he only received the invitation at the last minute and had another programme in Negri Sembilan.

"Azizah (Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail) called me said that a representative from the congress invited me to come, but it was too late," he told reporters at the Parliament lobby.
