Exam Syndicate statement on PT3 leaks expected today (Oct 4)

PUTRAJAYA: The Examinations Syndicate will make an official statement regarding claims that several PT3 (Form Three Assessment) exam papers have been leaked.

Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik said the statement would be issued on Friday (Oct 4).

“I'm not sure (about allegations of leaks in the chat groups). We have to wait for the Syndicate's comments.

“I cannot make any comments, ” he told reporters after launching the Leukemia Malaysia Fund.

Maszlee was referring to allegations that question papers were being circulated on instant messaging app Telegram.

On Thursday (Oct 3), The Star quoted a ministry official as saying that the ministry is investigating claims that several PT3 exam papers have been leaked.

These papers include English, Mathematics and Geography.

“The ministry is looking into it, ” said the official.

The Star obtained screenshots of the Mathematics paper and joined the Telegram group chat, where the exam papers were exchanged.
