Construction industry chief: Foreign workers remit RM5bil out of the country annually

KUCHING (Bernama): Almost RM5bil flows out of the country every year by foreign workers working in the country's construction sector remitting the money home.

Malaysian Construction Industry Development Authority (CIDB) chief executive Datuk Ir Ahmad Asri Abdul Hamid said there were currently 420,000 foreign workers in the sector who were registered with the Malaysian Immigration Department.
