Dr Siti Hasmah down with mild food poisoning


PETALING JAYA: The Prime Minister's wife, Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali, has gone to the hospital after a bout of mild food poisoning.

"She is a bit unwell and down with a mild food poisoning," said a spokesman from the Prime Minister's Office on Monday (Aug 26).

It was responding to media queries over a Facebook post that Dr Siti Hasmah, 93, the wife of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, was rushed to a private hospital.

The post has since been removed.

Asked if she was warded, an official from the PMO said,"She went there. Now resting."
