KUALA KANGSAR: Handsome or charming is often used to describe a man with striking features.

But in a farm in Enggor here, there is an animal labelled as a “handsome goat” because of a mid-line split on its crown and a long white beard with a hint of yellow.

Remos is its name. The white goat is one of 17 Saanen goats in Muhammad Livestock Farm, with pictures having gone viral in neighbouring countries.

Farm operator Ahmad M. Fadzir said the 11-month-old goat was bought from a supplier in Terengganu in March and at that time there was nothing unique about it.

“Just last month, I took a picture of the goat using a camera, instead of a phone.

“I noticed something different about Remos. I then uploaded it to my Facebook,” he said at the farm.

After sharing a couple of photos of Remos on the Muhammad Livestock Farm Facebook wall on July 6, it went viral.

Ahmad, who took over the farm from his father and manages it with his twin brother Muhammad, said he does not intend to sell Remos, even though many have approached them with attractive offers.

“I would like Remos to breed and it has also become our farm’s icon,” said the accounting graduate from Sultan Azlan Shah University here.

Ahmad, 21, described Remos as a shy animal, especially with people it had not seen before. — Bernama
