PETALING JAYA: Police have completed the investigation into the case where Perak PKR chief Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal allegedly assaulted and threatened a freelance researcher.
Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Fadzil Ahmat said they had gathered evidence and recorded statements from various quarters pertaining to the case.
“The investigation papers would be forwarded to the deputy public prosecutor for the next course of action,” he said after the handover of police vehicles courtesy of Malaysian Resources Corporation Bhd yesterday.
Police have classified the case as causing injuries and criminal intimidation.
It is learnt that the incident allegedly occurred at an office in Bukit Gasing at about 10am on May 16.
The 26-year-old victim claimed that he was in the office when Farhash Wafa, who is also Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s political secretary, confronted him.
The victim alleged that Farhash Wafa scolded, pushed and choked him.
