Hilman to be questioned by cops tomorrow

PETALING JAYA: It will be the turn of Hilman Idham, an aide of Datuk Seri Azmin Ali, to be grilled by the police tomorrow.

“I will give my statement at the Sepang district police headquarters on Monday at 10am.“This is in connection with the police report I lodged in response to Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz’s fake report,” he said yesterday.

Hilman, who is Azmin’s political secretary, is also deputy PKR Youth chief.

He lodged a report at the Putrajaya district police headquarters last Friday, claiming that Haziq had made a false report.

Hilman claimed Haziq told him that he was being used as a pawn to bring down Azmin.

On Friday, Bukit Aman CID director Comm Datuk Huzir Mohamed confirmed that Haziq was arrested at the international departure hall of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, where he was scheduled to fly to Manila. He is being investigated under four charges in the Penal Code – Section 292 (sale of obscene material), 504 (intent to provoke breach of peace) and 377B (carnal intercourse against the order of nature) as well as Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act.Meanwhile, Deputy Primary Industries Minister Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin said he was questioned by the police for nearly five hours over the sex video implicating Haziq, his senior private secretary.

Shamsul said he was at the Melaka police headquarters at 7pm on Friday after he attended an open house event.

“I want to thank the police and the investigating officer who gave me good treatment and a comfortable place throughout the process,” he said.
