KUALA LUMPUR: Like US President Donald Trump's proposed US-Mexico border wall, money may be the biggest obstacle for the construction of a border wall along the Malaysia-Thailand border, says Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

“The cost of building the wall is very expensive. It will cost about RM1mil to build 1km of wall, based on what both parties have agreed upon,” she said when replying to a supplementary question raised by Nor Azrina Surip (PH-Merbok) during Question Time in Parliament Monday (April 1).
