SHAH ALAM: The Raja Muda Kedah Tengku Sarafudin Badlishah Sultan Sallehuddin was proclaimed Management and Science University’s (MSU) new chancellor during the university's 24th convocation ceremony on Feb 23.

The title was conferred to him by MSU president Prof Tan Sri Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid. The university’s previous chancellor was Kedah former sultanah Datuk Seri Utama Hajah Haminah.

The Raja Muda led a career in corporate establishments within the legal and management realms, some of which includes Some Darby Berhad, Shearn Delamore & Co and Pesaka Jardine Fleming Sdn. Bhd. to name a few.

He attended the Royal Military Academy at Sungei Besi and continued with legal studies at Holborn College London and Brunel University in the UK. He received his Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree in 1990.

He received his Barrister at Law (Inner Temple) UK appointment and was admitted in the High Court of Malaya as an advocate and solicitor in 1994.

The Raja Muda's associations to various industries concurs with MSU'S aspiration of continuously enriching its industry engagement initiatives, that is by generating future-ready and employable graduates.

MSU will benefit from the Raja Muda's leadership and wealth of experience in line with its vision of “Transforming Lives and Enriching the Future”.

The convocation saw 1,811 MSU graduates from various fields receiving their postgraduate, bachelor, diploma and honours doctorate degrees in three separate sessions lasting two days.
