KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman is still investigating the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) sovereign fund, including calling persons of interest, says Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun.

The Inspector-General of Police said police personnel and officers are working tirelessly to complete the investigation.

"Our investigation covers all aspects.

"Once it is completed, we will submit the investigation papers to the Attorney General's Chambers," he told a press conference after launching the Crime Prevention Patrol Programme on Thursday (Jan 24).

Asked on how much of the investigation has been completed, the IGP said he could not reveal details.

"I am constantly checking the progress of the investigation," he said.

On the Crime Prevention Patrol Programme, Mohamad Fuzi said the patrols had managed to reduced crime rate significantly.

"In Kuala Lumpur, crime had gone down some 10.9% last year compared with 2017.
"For the rest of the country, crime had been reduced some 11.9%," he said.

The patrols will also be conducted in other states soon, he added.
