Social gatherings between Bench and Bar will not jeopardise justice

PETALING JAYA: Social gatherings between members of the judiciary and lawyers do not jeopardise the integrity, impartiality of administration of justice, says the Malaysian Bar.

Its president George Varughese condemned attempts to politicise the gala dinner organised by the Sabah Law Society in Kota Kinabalu on Friday (Jan 18), which saw top judges, the Attorney General, the Chief Justice, the Law Minister and lawyers sharing a dance on stage.
