Factory worker, a PKR youth member, stabbed to death by three men


SHAH ALAM: A factory operator succumbed to his wounds after being attacked in a flat.

The victim, identified as 30-year-old Thiyahu Marimuthoo, was stabbed on Monday afternoon at a flat along Jalan Plumbum.

It is also known that Thiyahu was a PKR youth member and had contested the committee member post  (AJK AMK) in Shah Alam during last year's party elections.

"The victim suffered heavy injuries to the face, head, hand and leg areas, and was rushed to the hospital by members of the public," said Shah Alam OCPD Baharudin Mat Taib when contacted.

"It is believed that he was stabbed by three suspects who drove a silver car. The motive is currently being investigated, as well.

The police is also in the midst of identifying the suspects involved," he added.

While Thiyahu was still alive when rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries at the Shah Alam hospital.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 for murder. Those with information are urged to contact the investigating officer, Asp Vignesh Kumar at 012 837 7756, or the nearest police station.

Kota Anggerik assemblyman Najwan Halimi, who ran with Thiyahu, expressed his condolences in a Facebook post.
