CYBERJAYA: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is unaware why Nurul Izzah Anwar has quit as PKR vice-president.
"She must have her reasons for doing so," said the Prime Minister when asked on the latest development in the Pakatan Harapan coalition.
When asked if he was aware of the Permatang Pauh MP's decision, the Pakatan chairman said that he was unaware of it.
On Monday (Dec 17), Nurul Izzah resigned as the vice -president of PKR and relinquished her appointment as the chair of Penang PKR.
Nurul Izzah said that she would remain a member of the parliamentary backbench committed to reforms.
She also said she would no longer serve the federal government in any capacity.
