Woman killed, husband severely injured after being stabbed by neighbour


GOMBAK: A 41-year-old woman was killed while her husband was severely injured after they were stabbed by their neighbour.

It is learnt that the incident occurred at about 6.40am on Tuesday at Jalan Tengah, Kampung Sungai Terentang in Rawang.

Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Samsor Maarof said the Yap Choon Mooi was stabbed on the chest while her husband suffered stab wounds to the stomach during the incident.

“The woman succumbed to her injuries upon arrival at Selayang Hospital.

“Her husband is still being treated at the hospital,” he said when contacted.

A 49-year-old man has since been detained in connection with the case.

“We are investigating the motive behind the attack.

“The case is classified under Section 302 for murder,” he said.
