I never toned down on island issue, TMJ insists

JOHOR BARU: Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim (pic) has posted tweets that appear to be critical of a certain leader’s view on the Pulau Kukup issue.

The crown prince insisted that he did not tone down and said the person was “right”.

“Don’t spin, back in the old days you can spin because you control the media. Now? Welcome to 2018.

“Who is developing Pulau Kukup? Already explained four times,” he tweeted on his official Twitter account yesterday.

Although Tunku Ismail did not name anyone in his tweets, it is believed that they were directed at Prime Minis­ter Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

At a press conference in Putrajaya earlier yesterday, Dr Mahathir said the federal government was not an “outsider”, in a rebuttal to Tunku Ismail on the Pulau Kukup issue.
